This is probably a very basic question, but I can't work out the solution, so...

How do people solve the problem of identical file numbers when using two or more digital bodies? I recently bought a second 10D and found that both bodies often produce images with the same file numbers, meaning that if careless when downloading the images I could accidentally over-write some files. The only solution I've come up with is to download the two different camera files to two separate folders. But this is inconvenient, leaving me with two folders of raw files instead of one. And every time I buy another digital body the problem will get worse.

Any way I can alter the file numbers from one body so they're completely different from the other? Any other solution? Have I missed something obvious?

Many thanks,
