Normal EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro Autofocus Lens $ 239.95 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ The sharpness in 50nmm lenses is simple, what are you using it for? The 50mm F2.5 macro is a very sharp lens but macros are designed to photograph flat objects with edge-to-edge sharpness. The 50mm F1.4 and F1.8 lenses are made for general photography. The 1.4 is a tad sharper at apertures up to F4, but at that point you will not see the difference. So ask yourself if you need the F1.4, or do you primarily shoot at F8, If the latter, get the F1.8. If you want to shoot in ambient light, the F1.4. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
