Funny thing - just a few years ago many people were
saying that you need 25 MP or more to match 35mm film.

iNow I read that the 13 MP 5D may exceed the resolution
of "L" glass,  and a 1ds mkIII would do even more so.

So,  if "L" lenses were sharp for film "back then",
it seems to me that the resolution of film was
overrated!?  Or perhaps film grain tricked the eye?

Just noting, I don't intend to beat a dead horse.
