I agree, and this seems particularly tricky and maybe impossible.

I agree with all this. I especially agree that "I don't think my experiences 
are very big in information terms", which is what leads me to the question. 
Hard as it may be to define, subjective diversity / complexity is what actually 
matters to us, conscious entities. What does the universal menu of qualia 
available to conscious entities look like, I guess this is what I am asking...

Right now I'm having coffee and writing an email and it is gray outside, and 
this feels almost indistinguishable from countless times I had such an 
experience before.
