I hate to say it, but he's got a point.
The WDC region almost made a change to completely eliminate FF, FC, FM,
FA, and FSCCA from the MARRS series this year. In fact, the vote
happened, and the change was enacted. It was not repealed until a
significant number of us yelled, screamed, and otherwise pitched a
hissy-fit in support of our open-wheel brethren. I feel certain that
if F500 couldn't have been easily placed in with FV, it would have been
gone, as well.
Meanwhile, the possibility of having not one, but TWO run groups
dedicated solely to Miatas (SM and SSM) was being decided.
It could happen in any region.
