some years ago a friend of mine was into spinning for weaving in a
big way and she had to have a lot of singles for her big floor rugs
she made soooooooo as her family were into racing cars and they had a
big wagon for transporting them along with a van to put all the other
associated gear in she insisted that her big Grace wheel was part of
that gear.........whilst the family mucked around in the cars and
stuff she got on with her spinning usually just behind the pits but
also in view of the race track and it never bothered her one iota
that she could sit there and spin but still be able to feed the
troops when they needed it. They were doing their hobby so why
shouldn't she do hers :-)
I think I will spin some more fine yarn or use fine merino commercial
yarn with a small pair of circulars and made some very small shawls
for prem babies when on the bus to Uni. I will have to play about in
the next few weeks sorting out the best way to tackle said
items. Thoughts currently a seed edge - plain knit with maybe some
hearts in reverse plain here and there.......will have to be
basically mindless in case I make a mistake.
