Javier, I agree; this is more than a mere bug, and you should get your money back and more if Finale caused you to lose intellectual property. We have protections here in the US as well, it just requires going through the legal system.
Pardon me if this has already been asked but what platform are you on ? Win or Mac ? And you said that it deleted an existing file on disk or you lost all the changes in memory not yet committed to a file ?
