Well said. I would add that in the US, the 2 major parties have so rigged the political game that a 3rd party is virtually an impossibility at anything but an extremely local level. National 3rd party candidates face virtually insurmountable obstacles to appearing on the ballots. Nor can they easily participate in debates, dialogues, or other political forums.

Even "new" parties are quickly infiltrated by the "same mind set" so "small changes" have no effect. Major change is necessary.
