What I normally do for working with older printers (at least in OS X) is to get an ethernet to parallel device (like an external HP Jetdirect device) and then I can treat the printer as an external TCP/IP printer.
I have an old Epson 1520 wide-format inkjet printing from all my Macs using one of those - and until it died I had an HP series II laserjet working the same way (now updated to an HP4050) - both printers working thru their parallel ports. --- On Wed, 1/27/10, John Carmonne <[email protected]> wrote: > From: John Carmonne <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: Wally printers > To: [email protected] > Date: Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 9:36 PM > > On Jan 27, 2010, at 7:10 PM, tortoise wrote: > > > > > > > On Jan 27, 4:09 pm, JOHN CARMONNE <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> On Jan 27, 2010, at 10:08 AM, classical wrote: > >> > > > >>>> It always worked in 8.6 but now it > no longer does.
