Done- and the printer is fine--it is the scanner that is USB --hey and then I can actually use a mouse. All moot tody- after I killed the G-4 desktop last week, I was tryint to get the Wallstreet to do more than just be a tyopewriter and I killed it too! BUT, this happened before to me and it was the adapter that was bad --so I also just bought an adapter-but in the meantime it is haul out the manual typewriter and only one hour a day at the library to do this reaserch and buying!! Now, if the adapter isn't the problem.... Plugged in nothing...with battery in and plugged in only one green blinking bettery light- so i figure the battery is down to its end and no current going in--hence-adapter..agh- just got a time warning from the library-- Thanks!

How do I go from the USB to the Wallstreet? I do not see anything obviously compatible--at least to me... For USB on a Wallstreet you should buy a PC card ( PCMCIA to be exact but also called Cardbus card) that fits into the PC slot on the left hand side of your Wallstreet. Something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/USB2-0-4-Ports-CardBus-PCMCIA-Card-Adapter-Power-Cable_W0QQitemZ390056153530QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad12891ba and it doesn't have to be a Mac specific one nor require drivers either. Just make sure you have the right printer driver for your OS and you should be good to go. I suggest a four port card because in my Wallstreet I have the same with my printer attached, a USB mouse ( I hate using laptop trackpads for more than a minute ) and I always seem to have a flash drive plugged in as well leaving just one port spare.
