AD Viola! Thank you. After many reinstalls I was able to save the Epson Stylus 600 from the trash heap. The cable check procedure gave way to further effort and finally the download from Epson cured the problem.
Now I know I may get some scrutiny on this statement, but for years I've thought software makers plant bombs in some of their stuff, hence some things no longer work after a predetermined date. Because I've had these Wally's for 11 years they always used this printer with the install disk that came with the printer. Now all of a sudden no more? The Icon that was installed by the download is even different from the original, Go figure. I even put in a hard drive from 3 years ago that was working perfect when I replace it with a 10GB and the printer would not work. Now that the thing works again I want to try it on OS9.2.2 with the parallel port cable I bought. I'm a sucker for this kind of punishment LOL:-) John Carmonne Yorba Linda USA -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
