Meanwhile, I have plenty of reading to do - because I'm not well versed in the offerings beyond the G4s. I'll have one eye on the lists at LEM and the other checking closed prices on eBay. I suspect I'll go cross-eyed in the process, but it's a worthy cause. The other thing I'll be doing is going over the budget. An interim machine/lower cost machine might be necessary before I can graduate to a more recent model. That's not terrible though - because I'd then have the lowly machine and the newer machine --- and would be free to dispose of the poor Pismo and my much maligned eMac moose. (I shouldn't type negatives about the eMac, I'm sure I'm tempting fate - but there it is!) Thanks everyone. This place amazing for all things Mac.
