If you surf around on Craigslist or EBay or whatever local classifieds exist in your area (and are not in a major hurry to buy one tomorrow), patience can often yield a good deal. I spent several months searching and waiting, but eventually got a Macbook Pro 15 for under $400 (and nothing on it is broken, works flawlessly). With the holiday season here, waiting a few weeks or even a month for everyone who got a NEW computer to put their old one up for sale may produce results. Even at $200 a G4 based laptop is not a great deal anymore...if you find one for $100 or less it might be a good hold-over if you need something right away, but older Macbooks or even Macbook Pros are starting to get reasonable in pricing. -- You received this message because you are a member of G-Books, a group for those using G3 iBooks and PowerBooks (we run a separate list for G4 'Books).
