Think newer. First Gen Macbooks have plunged in price because they cannot run 
10.7; but an intel Mac running 10.6 is a heck of a lot newer than an old G4 of 
an sort. Moreover 10.6 still includes Rosetta so your old PPC stuff will 
continue to work.

I would not waste the money on getting a G4-based mac laptop.
