Thanks all for the suggestions.
I'll try them out in the next couple of days and let the list know how it works.
As for the SCSI angle, I've known SCSI problems before (I've had a IIci, Q700, and 
Q800) and this doesn't seem like that kind of problem.
Generally, once SCSI works, it keeps working until you change the chain, and nothing 
here is different from before.
Again, though, thanks for the attention.
