Should work - There are probably some settings to check e.g., DHCP. I have a Mac G4 and 5 PCs attached to my Linksys router and all are working OK. Maybe there are some Internet settings on the iBook that need checking.
On the Linksys router you can log into a special URL to access the router admin information (192.168.1.1). Then you can check to see what the router sees. Usually you have a choice as to whether you use a fixed IP setting (192.168.1.X) or let the router assign DHCP addresses.
