That seems fine to me. So long as you're within a certain distance of an object, it gets examined and described. That's what you're intending, if I'm correct. I think that saves a lot of talking and listing, and allows the game to move at a faster pace... since you won't be pausing for 3-5 seconds to hear every single item being listed in the room. lol.
