Hi Dark,

Yikes! That's a lot of ground to cover. Dr. Who is an extremely long
series. I've only seen certain bits and pieces of it, because a lot of
the Dr. Who stuff wasn't aired over here in the states like over in
the UK.

In fact, most of my knowledge of Dr. Who is the 70's and 80's stuff I
watched as a kid. I haven't really gotten into the new shows that
much, and haven't kept up with Dr. Who as you have.

It sounds like you are to Dr. Who what I am to Star Trek. I'm sure I
could make a pretty extensive Star Trek trivia file since I've
watched, read, and breathed the classic, Next Gen, DS9, Voyager, and
Enterprise series when they were big over here. However, since
Enterprise has gone to reruns and Paramount isn't in a hurry to create
a new series Star Trek has sort of lost interest for a lot of Trek
fans. I personally think Star Trek XI was a flop because they went
from Next Gen straight back to the classic, and it wasn't exactly as
good as the classic with all new actors etc playing Kirk, Spock,
McCoy, Scotty, etc.

Then again, they pretty much ended all of the newer series so that
they can't make any more movies using them without a serious rethink
or rewrite of the plots.

In Star Trek x the Romulans beat the crap out of the Enterprise E,
damaging it practically beyond repair, Riker got his own command, and
Data got blown to pieces. Not much else they can do for TNG after
that.

The final show of DS9 was even worse. Sisko and Gul Dicat ended up in
the wormhole, Kira became station commander, and the rest of the crew
got shipped off to somewhere else. Again, not much else they can do
with it unless they want to get Sisko out of the Bajoran wormhole
somehow and recall the rest of the ops crew from wherever they are.

As for Voyager they could do something with it, but then again it
wouldn't be the same. Voyager came home the final show, and Janeway
was promoted to admiral. I'm not sure what happened to the rest of the
crew, and Paramount has left Voyager's fate after the show open ended.
I personally think Paramount should have made Star Trek XI about
Voyager following the events in the final show, but they chose to go
back to Kirk, Spock, etc instead.

Cheers!
