Technically, YES, but apparently Growl wasn't installed "properly",
otherwise I wouldn't have all these problems and inconsistencies.  It seems
like you folks are more interested in criticizing clients than in solving
problems.  If that's the case, then I'll "Uninstall" Growl and be done with
it.  Otherwise, I'd appreciate attention directed at solving problems.  I
thought that was the purpose of the Growl Discussion Group.  Was I wrong?
