I could not see any recognizable Application names.  I'd have to restart my
computer to get another set of Recovered Files.  I may do that and send a
separate response with that information.

I do NOT have "Start Growl  at login" checked, yet when I look at Growl
in System Preferences, Growl is running.

So what you're saying is that Accounts -> Login Items has NOTHING to
do with what you call "log-in".  Everything is in Growl Preference Pane.

The confusion for me was the fact that there are Login Items under Accounts
in System Preferences, and those in Growl are separate.  That's new to me.
