I can load the game now via -tools but when I get in game, then switch to particle editor, then hit File> any button pressed in the File drop down list crashes the game. No error messages, just closes instant. Same with the material editor. They don't work. -Dan ________________________________ From: Mike Durand <[email protected]> To: Discussion of Half-Life Programming <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, 3 February, 2009 2:10:59 AM Subject: Re: [hlcoders] Tools not working for Orange Box games after the last engine update FYI - this fix was in the TF2 update today. Please let me know if you see any more problems. -Mike -----Original Message----- From: Mike Durand Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2009 7:30 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [hlcoders] Tools not working for Orange Box games after the last engine update Hi List- This has been fixed and we will update the tools DLLs as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience. -Mike -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Pawel Lekki Sent: Friday, January 30, 2009 10:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [hlcoders] Tools not working for Orange Box games after the last engine update Hi, after the last engine update running an Orange Box engine game with the "-tools" parameter causes a crash while loading the main menu. We have tested this on TF2, L4D, DOD:S and DIPRIP on a few different machines. The crashes don't seem to produce any .mdmp files for any of the games. The only difference is that when running DIPRIP with the "-tools" parameter we receive a "Pure virtual function call" error, the other ones are just generic crash errors. This prevents us from using the particle editor. Does anyone experience the same problem?
