i'm reading and i'm still looking for the light.  bjorn, warthog, and ken
seem to be doing about as much guessing as anyone else.  everything seems to
be based on hearsay and opinions of Tony.  it still looks to me like the PB
staff was just as surprised as everyone else.  they just have the decency
(and rightly so) of defending Tony's decision publically.

and what do we expect to hear from Valve?  that they don't like the PB
technology?  that they're working on their own anti-cheating software?  that
they don't like the way Tony smells?  my GUESS (based on my own business
experience) is that there simply is not a good enough business reason for
Sierra (and thus Valve) to deal with the PB team right now.  and you don't
make press releases or public statements about NOT doing something...
