Our z/OS sysnames are five characters long with the unique clone characters in positions 4-5, so we specify the following in IEASYMxx:

SYMDEF(&SMFID='&SYSNAME(1:2).&SYSNAME(4:2)')

and this in SMFPRM00:

SID(&SMFID)
