Kyle, i think she's "complaining" "again" because of the stupidity of the system she's being forced to work with. If you tout OSX as the reason to buy a computer, you provide os9 tools + separate OSX tools. This is just plain common decency, not to mention commen sense.
Later you tell her not to complain to Apple about software Apple sends to customers (techtool or whatever) cuz apple doesn't even make that product. Wow. I pay apple 150 bucks and then I'm supposed to go someplace else to "complain" if there is a problem with something Apple sends me for my 150 bucks. That is so amazing that it Boggles my own personal imagination. Boggles. Not to mention that applecare absolutely sucks when it comes to assisting you on the phone: 1. they often don't know more than i can find out on apple.com (usually they put you on hold, go to apple.com, look for an answer, and then repeat the feeble fix that you've already tried. 2. then they pass you on to someone else that does the same thing 3. then they tell you that there is no one "above" them that you can talk to. 4. ONE time i finally found someone to help me (after being told to restore everything and doing it and that not working and calling again and being told to restore everything again!!! and "complaining" about the absurdity of that until i was put into contact with someone who finally helped me) Some kind of evil joke, I guess. I would not give them a penny for their so called extended service; if the fates force me to pay bucks later to repair or fix my computer so be it. applecare ain't gettin' it. Just cuz they aren't the microsoft doesn't give apple the excuse to act as badly or worse than microsoft. an apple owner for 10 years, and, complainingly yours, dale--g4imac10.1.4 Kyle Hansen wrote: Sarah Folkes wrote:> I recently purchased my extended AppleCare warranty after a scare with> my FP iMac, and have a question (which is also a complaint. heh). It is a 3 year coveragepolicy. Some of the machines that are still under the 3 year umbrella arenot capable of running OS X. But all newer OS X capable machines arecompletely capable of running OS 9. That's why. Your FP iMac shipped withOS 9. Why are you complaining again? ;-)--==============================================================Kyle H.
