Obviously you have had a bad experience with Applecare in the past but I have found their phone support to be pretty helpful. Just recently, with all the blue screen problems I have been having on my iMac, I called Applecare and was passed on to somebody else but that person spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me and got the problem sorted out. The first person had run through several troubleshooting tactics which hadn't worked. The guy I was passed on to suggested some different ones. For $150.00 (CDN) I think Applecare is worth it and I am not just talking about the phone support. One repair, big or small can easily cost more than the cost of Applecare with labour alone, let alone the parts. It's also a good selling point should you still have even 4-6 months left on Applecare. Amber -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
