The 350 Mhz G3 slot load iMac takes a little over 7 minutes to start up both. The other is an upgraded PowerTowerPro with 400 Mhz G3. It loads in just under 6 minutes with both. I attribute it to the slightly faster processor, a larger L2 cache, and more RAM. The iMac is maxed out at 512, the PowerTower has 768. I have a ton of apps including Photoshop and some MS bloatware and it still loads quickly. Granted it's not as fast as 9.1 or 8.0 but it's acceptable. I have 9.2 load at startup each day. If I never run a classic app during the day it costs me nothing, but if I do need it it's there immediately. 10 minutes is a long load time . Just out of curiosity how much RAM is in the iMac?
