You have a third USB port on the opposite side of your keyboard from where the mouse is plugged in. A lot of people forget about that one.
There are also hubs that you could use.
Besides, I need to replace the clock battery and that's a real pain without taking it apart.
This may not be true of all models of iMac, but I recently replaced the clock battery of an iMac G3 without taking anything apart. I just opened the door where the RAM slots are and the clock battery is visible -- but a little hard to get to -- below the RAM slots.
