Stand up for Scott in his fight? I didn't know Scott was fighting any
animals out there. Gorillas are a tame species though. You really have to
get to know them and you you will realize that they really are a gentle
creature. But seriously where is all of this nastiness coming from,
Sanford? Ipswitch is providing a product to customers just like Declude.
If Ipswitch were trying to force Declude out of the market and play the
"price-and-presence warfare that Microsoft lives on" game they would have
bundled the Symantec product with Imail for free. Sort of like what MS did
with IE and IIS.

Oh come on Sanford. Please. Do you really expect us to buy into that
rhetoric? Like no EVER reads this forum and they don't see all the hundreds
of thread about AV software for Imail including Declude? And if they don't
read the forum don't you think people can do a little research on the Net to
find out what's out there? That's like saying because Microsoft's Windows
is SO popular and and is well known that no one will think they can run any
browser other than IE or can't run any software other than what MS makes.
Give people some credit. Sheesh.

Why Sanford? If you like Declude tell people about it. But why would you
trash Ipswitch's product before it's even released? If people like it and
are willing to pay for it, then more power to them. Last time I looked
Ipswitch was a FOR Profit company. Also, remember Declude requires you
purchase and set up your own Anti-Virus software. That means 1) You have
more expense than just Declude, thus it's misleading to say it's SO
inexpensive, 2) You have to make it work with Imail and your AV scanner, and
3) You have to separate products to maintain and get support for if you need
it. These are things that a company must think about. Ipswitch's Carrier
Scan is integrated into Imail. Your support for Imail Carrier Scan and Imail
will come from Ipswitch alone. No going back and forth between 2 companies
trying to make it work. No configuring separate products to work with each
other. There are benefits to paying more for a product that is integrated,
but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. Declude has it's niche and should
continue to have it's niche.
