Wow, I go away for a day and a whole scandal has developed. I am 100% behind Declude and can't see myself recommending anything else. Scott's support and product are great.
Although the tactics are slimy, I'm surprised everyone was caught off-guard by this. I got a survey a while back that was VERY heavy into would you buy a virus scanner/how much would you pay for it type questions. I expected an eventual announcement. The majority of Ipswich users are probably unaware of this list and Declude. There is a market there for them that Scott can't easily tap. The pricing is not that far out of line with other per/user licensed products. But from a corporate perspective(the apparent market) it doesn't make sense in most cases. The "suites" that cover all desktop/server products are usually the most cost effective solution. Part of the beauty of Declude is that it fits so well into such environments. But again, Ipswitch has pursued some slimy tactics on the list that I will not easily forgive. The apology was missing a key element: Harry should be sacked.
