how do you take an fax image file over whose content you no controal and decide programmatically who's supposed to get it?I have been looking at the incoming features and it looks straight forward. Can you tell me what I might look to go wrong???
There are solutions like DID but they only work if the remote fax senders play along.
Some fax software can do OCR to produce a text file from the fax image, but I bet that's 100% reliable, either. OCR at the level that Omnipage does it currently is quite fantastic, but fax image quality, original document format, etc are huge obstacles.
You're going to need someone to look at the incoming fax image files, "OCR" them mentally, then (A)I them to figure out which agent(s) should get it, and email it to that agent. I bet there will still be some incoming faxes the monkey can't resolve.I want a monkey I do not have to baby sit or feed every day.
outgoing fax is of course totally different, you are holding all the cards.
