What type of virus protection? IMail AntiVirus? Declude Virus? A gateway? A standard (non-mail) virus scanner? Depending on the virus protection you have, it may prevent some E-mail from being delivered. We are running Imail ver 7.13 with virus protection turned on.
What we have been seeing for some time is mail not always making it through. Some external clients have had to email us at Yahoo accounts because although we can email them their mail cannot consistantly get through to our server.
What is your domain name? There's probably a 80% chance this is a DNS issue.
Have you checked your log files to see whether they attempted a connection?
We have noticied that if we initiate an email to a client who is having problems and they reply it does get through. However if they initiate the email it fails. In this case, there's about a 99% chance the issue is with the addressing. For example, if you send mail with a Reply-To: of "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", they will reply to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" (whereas they would normally address to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]").
