SmarterMail's web interface is completely .NET based. Therefore, it is recommended that you run it on a full IIS server, as opposed to the stripped down web server that's included with SmarterMail. Doing so will allow you to simply have more and better control over the WebMail site, and it will preclude you from having to run a second web server on your server if you already have IIS installed. If you don't see the logic in this, then SmarterMail is probably not the product for you. Perhaps you liked being locked into a completely closed, proprietary web server like iMail's Web Mail Server, but I know I would much prefer a webmail product running on top of IIS.
