It runs great in IIS - also uses less memory.
I still have an Imail server but I migrated all regular domains/users to
SmarterMail about 6 months ago and haven't looked back. With their
conversion tool it's a snap and the v2 interface and features are very
user friendly.
Where my dual proc Imail server choked this single proc Smartermail
server runs great.

In fact the only thing I don't like about it is it doesn't bind the
outgoing IP for IP based sites. One reason I still have a couple
domains on Imail.

Also just as an fyi these guys have very good prices on SmarterMail
http://www.helmtastic.com/ - $199 for unlimited domains.
In fact I bought serv-u, mailenable and
lots of stuff... they've got great prices.

JSHNL> Me, I have concern's about using SmarterMail with
JSHNL> statements like this on their site: "It is suggested customers
JSHNL> use IIS in place of the SmarterMail Web Server. IIS provides
JSHNL> greater security and stability options than the SmarterMail web
JSHNL> server."

JSHNL> Maybe SmarterMail isn't a smarter idea?
