Sun aren't very good at formal announcements, but they have decided to fire all the developers that remained on it and adopt an openGl binding to offer 3D capabilities from Java. All that points away from continued development or even maintainance of Java3D.
It won't stop working how it does now, it just won't do any more. Paul Flavin gets very excited but he is very much the iraqi information minister of Java3D. -ben -----Original Message----- From: Theron Crissey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 27 August 2003 03:52 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [JAVA3D] Support for Java3D Does anyone have any news on Sun's decision to stop supporting Java3D? Other than a statement on j3d.org, I can't find news about the subject.
