To defend the US...

- Our economy stinks, unemployment is near 10%
- English is the most commonly spoken language
- Great diversity of IT jobs
- If you have very good IT skills, you can probably find a job
- Many great universities to complete your education
- Larger population of 300M compared to 60M or 21M
- Huge national debt. We need your help paying it off
- IT concentrated on the coasts. South-West coast good weather. East coast
not so good.
- High cost of living on the coasts
- Probably very strict emigration rules

Well, you can't have everything. :)
