Hello, The connection tool doesn't care about zones. Though in a real pcb the signal is connected, it is not logically connected from the connection tool point of view. I connect the trace to another trace or pin of the same net. Aftewards, I create the zones. The traces are then covered by the zone. Zones should be created after the whole pcb has been routed.
