You nailed it. I somehow had multiple pads on the same layer on several
pins. Thanks for your help.

I had that problem and found I had accidently put 2 pads at the same
location. Try deleting the component or pad at that location and seeing if a
2nd pad is there. Delete it and re-place your component.
