Larry

I installed the Echo UTA in January and get the report every time I fly just to check the unit. it is rare that I get a clean report, although it does happen. Most of my flying occurs in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah, generally less than 500 above the ground. It is very desolate in areas out here. The most common failure is the mode 3A. We also have some low coverage areas out here . So far I haven't received a nasty gram from the DOT.

Thanks, Jeff. I didn't think it was a major issue being listed in the
"OTHER" section of the report and the fact that we have very poor radar
coverage at low altitude in this area. I'm guessing if I have major
failures they have my e-mail address an I'll hear from them. The
failure listed was for 21 seconds the way I read the report.
