Yes! I got many expressions of interest in a lower level test with the intent of just getting people started. One trainer mentioned that he taught Linux+ then moved students to LPI to ease the transition. I saw no reason to give up the entry path so I would agree that this is good.
I have even been asked if LPI would like to partner with others to create a Perl Certification track!
I would love to get involved here because it is a natural entry to Level one and should be logicly structured as such. Now all I need to do is get my ducks in a row.
