To clarify, this isn't going to be a typical LPI certification. I'd call it a Certificate Program, as in, not "high stakes", much less expensive (I believe we've been kicking around about US $25 or so), and delivered in an online format from a large pool of items. This level of certificate program would, or should, NOT be used as a hiring standard in and of itself, and we hope that this might be more of an add on to other certification programs (like the Project Management Institutes's PMP certification, for example).
The positive reception we've received from many business, government, individual, and funding sources on delivering this type of program (as long as we are careful to keep clear the difference between this and our LPIC program) has been quite strong. Much higher access, much lower cost.
