C'mon, there _is_ no 'LPI' ;) It's a group of individuals. And in this case, I think that most of those individuals are more focussed on admin certs to really give this topic any or much thought. Besides, the structure of the admin certs were done with a huge community participation. If we gave them a 'this is what we'd like to see in OSS dev certs', here are the core group of volunteers/staff that will see it through and here are the partnerships that need cementing, I think that would go a long way and give the LPI board something to critique and/or approve.
