Well we distribute laptops to our regional employees, they number at any given time between 60 and 80 people. 40% of their laptops return to me within one year of their initial ship date. The rest within the next 2 years. The few regional's that sprung the extra cash to get MACs instead have yet to return one.
Maybe this is a weird coincidence, but it's what I have to go on, and it points the other way. By the way we ship Acer travelmates 2000 series thru to 6000 series, and IBM ThinkPad's. The ThinkPad's last much longer and are usually returned simply because technology has passed them by (e.g. no built in wireless etc) Sanga M. I dont find this quality thing true (as an apple user).
