I would just like strongly urge any of you moving to OS X to obtain a book
about it, or search the web for tutorials on OS X, instead of just jumping
in there blind. And don't go screwing with the Command Terminal application
that is used to access UNIX, directly unless you know what you're doing!
Apple has done a fine job of hiding UNIX from the end-user through it's Aqua
interface. But once you open up the Terminal app, you're in UNIX-land.

I would like to remind folks of my posts from last week, titled "MacDuff's
Big Blab Pt. 1" and part 2. There's a lot of info there, and there's MORE on
the internet that Google would be able to dig up for you. If you learn
_IT's_ WAY, you'll get up on the curve a lot faster, and then you can adapt
OS X to work YOUR WAY. Yes, I said YOUR WAY, as there are TONS of shareware
offerings out there that allow you to alter the look and behaviour of OS X;
MANY of which I have applied :)
