I'm also caught in the Dream Host GNU Mailman shutdown and have been looking at inexpensive alternatives:
EMWD looks attractive for: Migration help, Mailman 3, and improved user and admin web interfaces (Empathy and Affinity). $8 USD per list plus random start-up costs. Also -- ability to host in Canada. mailmanlists.net: Looks attractive for migration help, Mailman 3, but standard web interfaces. $5 USD per list + some start-up costs (I think). *Love that I can paid in USD for EU hosting!* Don't necessarily ruleout the other companies continuing to do GNU Mailman 2 bundled with their hosting plans through cPanel. This is attractive for dirt cheap costs (at least if you buy a 3-year package upfront), usually unlimited number of lists. Some support for porting data over, but might have to manually reset some admin settings? It seems to be a thing that hosting companies will give very cheap monthly rates upfront if you commit to 3 years ($2.80-$5/month). Then it goes to roughly $11-15/month after 3 years. I'm looking at mainly Canadian companies (pay in Canadian dollars!!). Current candidates: whc.ca (Canadian $), chemicloud.com (USD prices, can host in Canada). I unfortunately had to ruleout 4goodhosting.com. They looked good, but if you have an email list with 500 subscribers, one outbound list message counts as 500 emails (more than their hourly limit). With whc.ca -- that would count as ONE outbound email. Pay attention to hourly outbound message limits and ask questions. Fast look at other options looks more expensive (groups.io - $20/mo.). Saw some options at $100/mo. I have just enough ability to run my own VPS, but don't need that chore on my plate.
