Very good advice, many of the minor fittings, screws, brackets, plastic plugs are interchangeable as they both got built in the same era. One more thing, dont forgret the oil pressure gauge sender unit on the block. This runs a gauge, not a light. You will need this if you fit the K instrument panel.
I recently tried a complete 240K dash in a 1600 for a "test fitting. Not too much work to fit it into the body. My guess is about a 10mm trim off each end and it would slip between the door pillars and almost literally bolt in. The curvature at the windscreen base looks pretty well matched. A simple bit of metal bending, to "reverse" the direction of the lower fixing brackets at each end and I reckon it would drop into place. I think the 240K "period" dash is a good model for the 1600, gives all the instruments you would want, a neat centre console connection - and that essential 240KPH speedo! I forget how the tacho conversion (from 6cyl to 4 cyl) is done, but it can be adapted. ----- Original Message ----- From: Richard Webb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, April 22, 2004 6:35 PM Subject: Re: Datsun 240K donor parts > > > > > I've got Brake booster/master cylinder in my 510....
