I totally stripped a (one owner, matching numbers, granny car 180BSSS auto)
body shell last night, hence my suggestions about storing the bolts etc.

Why strip this collector item? A vynal roof let it get terminal cancer
everywhere BUT the usual places - ie the whole upper half of the body, boot
floor, and inside rear footwells!

I am now cutting off other good panel sections that will be useful, i.e. the
sills, rear quarter panels, front floor pans, front inner guards and
radiator support panel - I hate throwing out any Datsun stuff with any
servicability left in it. There is not much to dump after this!

I have another 180BSSS shell that is going to get rebirthed with this stuff
inserted, after a bit of cosmetic rust removal and a paint job. A member
on this list, from Knox, supplied this shell, a yellow one - sorry I've
forgotten your name!

Big decision before the reassembly is What Colour? I've always thought
bright red is the only colour that makes a 180BSSS looks good, with
contrasting black bits and gold mags, but Canary Yellow is not too bad
either?

Has anyone tried the "Non Iso" 2 Pak paint currently stocked at Autobarn?
If so - any feedback on its ease of use, quality of finish etc?
