Hi MOQers

Anyone interested in how SOM is an approach that is
reducing the value of science and enquiry more generally
really should try to get hold of a copy of (much in common with John Dewey):

http://www.amazon.com/Knowledge-Wisdom-Revolution-Science-Humanities/dp/0955224004/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1200227554&sr=1-1

Maxwell also suggests a non-SOM approach to science and enquiry, he calls it
aim-oriented empiricism, which seems to suggest a non-SOM yet rational
approach can only
be developed by grounding research in a context of experienced human values
and the
need to help us realise these. Clear links to the suggestions of MOQ.

Maxwell is a well recognised philosopher of science in the UK and has also
published
on quantum theory and approaches to human consciousness.
