dmb, I'm glad somebody else is saying this. It
seems I'm getting a lot of flak for saying Bo was the
Hitler of the moq. This comment by you dmb makes my
point exactly. Doesn't anybody understand what a
dictator is? A dictator takes over a country and
makes it after his/her own image. That's all dandy
and fine until the dictator says he or she is Germany,
is Iraq, or is North Korea. Once the dictator takes
something over and then tries to sell to the people
that he or she is the way the country is supposed to
be, well, usually dictators will try to rid the
history of that country and the country only began
when that dictator took over. Bo was trying to take
over the moq it seemed. I will say Bo has lightened
up, and maybe his English makes his views come across
this way. Yet, the moq was started by Pirsig. Bo is
now trying to change the moq, which is fine, but Bo
first needs to admit that he is starting his own
philosophy call it MOB. Yet, when Bo tries to say
he's the authority on the moq and Pirsig doesn't know
about the moq, well, either the moq needs a total
change - which then one goes through the process of
making their own new philosophy (like Ham) or one
argues outer the finer points. The moq has no
dominant authority due to dynamic quality, therefore
it is democratic and freedom oriented, but once
somebody tries to assimilate any philosophy for their
own and change the basic tenets then that person has
come up with a new philosophy. They can't say they
know the moq better than anybody else, even better
than the person who came up with the philosophy.
Bo, what your opinion is matters, but I would
seriously consider if your opinion is the moq or
another philosophy.

So, is Bo (1) making the moq his own (being
imperialistic and a dictator), (2) does the moq have
enough space to allow even its' seemingly basic tenets
changed but still survive as the moq, or (3) did Bo
come up with a new philosophy and he needs to
recognize this?

These are serious questions that theories and
philosophers must encounter if the data and
experiences seem to be pointing in other directions.
Einstein didn't say he was following Newton's theories
when Einstein proclaimed he had another theory.
Einstein's theories were a paradigm shift and people
realized Einstein moved onto something else. Plato is
different from Aristotle and Kant. Apples from
oranges.
