Ron, Everybody -
Ron:Pirsig says bykilling intellectual patterns, morality is served. Chris:This
is simply not right at all - I feel. What you are talking about isZen. Not the
MOQ. Furthermore, this, I fear, is exactly the kind of talkthat will kill the
MOQ. The MOQ is a theory - it isn't the DynamicQuality it talks about as well
we all know, and it can never be. Quote from Wiki:According to the MOQ,
everything (including mind, ideas and matter) is aproduct and a result of
Quality. Quality is one, yet manifests itselfdifferently.Ron:It may very well
kill your version of the MoQ. That much is clear.
Chris replies:
Why on earth would it do that? Of course I agree with that wiki quote. In my
version of the MOQ Quality is everything, and it can be interpreted in four (+)
different ways. The fourth level is the special way of interpreting things that
comes with the idea of a subject separated from objects. I think that the 5th
level may be a MOQ level understanding of the world. If we just realise that
from within each level there is nothing but that interpretation. Humans are
(sometimes) of all levels, and is quite confused as a result.
You say that “To human beings. Perceived Reality is a 4th level interpretation
of Reality, realityitself is indefinable and formless.” And I agree that
”reality” doesn’t need to be defined or proved on any other level then the 4th
level. That is the problem of the S/O split. It is quite useful, but produces a
lot of trouble. Hence the MOQ comes along and patches up it all, and brings
back that which everybody ”knows” before they ”know” that there is anything to
”know”
Regards
Chris
