Khaled, Arlo, and Chris,

The last comment or near last, by the woman in
the interview stuck out to me. "We put our hearts
into them." "our hearts"... Putting our hearts into
something is the care approach where the logical mind
isn't distant from the world. If the mind isn't
grounded in what we feel, well, I find what is in our
hearts to be grounded in this world in a first hand
felt way. Sure our hearts may feel distressed and our
minds with discipline can help concentrate our
experience where the value is, well, what we would
rather experience. If our hearts are not into the
experience in a half-hearted way, then we are only
going through the motions and not concentrating very
well. How to sustain this kind of heart in tune with
what we are doing, thus, our minds fully aware of what
we are doing and not half-hearted we're our minds are
losing focus takes practice in concentration. This
effort in the woman's factory was cultivated by the
many people that worked with her. It can't be done
alone. This would mean many people would need to be
putting their hearts into their experience in a way
that nourishes, not demoralizes, the intent. So, many
people caring, caring about what? Caring about
something that cares back would be my answer, many
people care, but not for the same reasons, and not for
the same outcomes. If money is your goal, then
people's hearts are not your goal. If money and
people's well being is your goal, then this is caring
about both, but the latter never at the cost of the
former that would be putting money before our hearts
and without care and focus on our hearts then we would
not be aware of where care comes from, and we would
not see care anymore for the focus would be on money.
